Benefit Plans Staff
The WELS Benefit Plans Office (BPO) is composed of 6 full-time and 2 part-time employees. The BPO serves WELS workers through the administration of the WELS VEBA Group Health Care Plan and the WELS Pension Plan. The Health Plan is overseen by the VEBA Commission and the Pension Plan is overseen by the Pension Commission.
VEBA Commission
The WELS VEBA is overseen by the VEBA Commission. The VEBA Commission is composed of six members: 1 Pastor, 1 Teacher, and 4 Lay Workers. Each member brings a unique perspective and background to the commission. The current VEBA Commission members are:
- Mr. Richard Hudock, Chairman
- Mr. Doug Miller, Vice-Chairman
- Mr. Jeffrey Timm, Secretary
- Rev. James Tauscher
- Teacher Chris Fischer
- Mr. Chuck Adrian
Pension Commission
The WELS Pension Plan is overseen by the Pension Commission. The Pension Commission is composed of six members: 1 Pastor, 1 Teacher, and 4 Lay Workers. Each member brings a unique perspective and background to the commission. The current Pension Commission members are:
